What we collect

When you use our forms, we collect the details you choose to give us. These may include the following.

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your wedding or event date, guest numbers, location and the type of event
• How you heard about us, and anything you tell us about your plans
• Whether you would like to hear about open days and news

We also collect basic, anonymous information about how people use our website, such as which pages are visited, to help us improve it.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, check availability and send you a quote
• To send you our brochure when you ask for it
• To plan and deliver your wedding or event if you book with us
• To let you know about ticket releases for events you have registered interest in, such as Tipis by Twilight
• To send you open days and news, only if you tick the box to say yes

Our lawful reasons

We use your details to respond to your request and to take steps towards a booking you have asked about. We send open days and news only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We keep some records, such as invoices, because the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it when we need to. Some examples are listed below.

• Our website and form provider (Wix), which stores form submissions for us securely
• Suppliers we book on your behalf, such as caterers, florists or bar staff, and only what they need to look after you
• Our accountants and professional advisers, where required

Our providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards to protect it.

How long we keep it

If you enquire but do not book, we keep your details for up to 2 years, then delete them. If you book with us, we keep booking records for 6 years after your event for tax and legal reasons. You can unsubscribe from news at any time and we will stop straight away.

Your rights

You can ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Just email info@javatipis.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please talk to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies to make it work and to understand how it is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

We only set Google Analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use our website, if you choose Accept in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not identify you.
